Product Description

Semi-Auto 5 Gallon PET Blow Molding Machine

The JNDTECH Semi-Auto 5 Gallon PET Blow Molding Machine is built for barrel water plants that need their own 18.9 L (5 gallon) PET bottles without the cost of a fully automatic line. The operator loads heated preforms and the machine blows them into standard 5-gallon barrels at 90-120 bottles per hour. It is the practical entry point for small and start-up bottled water businesses.

Key Features

  • Single-cavity design dedicated to 5 gallon (18.9 L) PET barrels – stable wall thickness, low reject rate.
  • Semi-automatic cycle: manual preform loading and bottle take-out, automatic heating and blowing – low labour skill required.
  • Infrared heating oven with independent temperature zones for even preform heating and clear bottles.
  • High-pressure blowing up to 3.0 MPa for rigid, drop-resistant 5 gallon barrels.
  • Compact footprint, fits a small workshop; easy to relocate when capacity grows.
  • Simple pneumatic + electric control, low maintenance cost, spare parts easy to source.
  • Quick mould change to other neck sizes if a second barrel spec is needed.
  • Pairs with JNDTECH 5 gallon filler, washer and capper for a complete barrel water line.

How It Works

The operator places a PET preform onto the mandrel; the infrared oven heats it to the blowing temperature while temperature zones keep heating even. The heated preform is then clamped into the 5-gallon mould and high-pressure air (up to 3.0 MPa) stretches it against the cavity wall to form the barrel shape. After cooling, the operator removes the finished bottle. Heating and blowing are automatic; loading and take-out are manual – that is what keeps the machine affordable and easy to run.

Applications

Designed for 5 gallon / 18.9 L barrel drinking water plants, village water stations and small private-label bottlers. Also suitable for edible-oil or other large PET containers of the same neck size when the mould is changed.

FAQ

Semi-auto vs fully automatic – which should I choose?

Choose semi-auto if your daily need is below ~1,000 barrels and you want lower investment and simpler operation. Choose full-auto when capacity or labour cost pushes you past that. Semi-auto is the cheapest way to make your own 5-gallon bottles.

What output can one semi-auto machine give?

About 90-120 5-gallon barrels per hour with one operator. Two machines or a shift extension roughly double daily output.

Can it make bottles other than 5 gallon?

It is optimised for 18.9 L barrels. With a changed mould and neck adapter it can form other large PET containers of the same neck, but small water bottles are better on our multi-cavity automatic models.

Do I need an air compressor?

Yes. You need a low-pressure compressor for the machine and a high-pressure booster (to ~3.0 MPa) for blowing. We can quote a matched unit if you do not have one.

Is it easy to learn and maintain?

Very. Loading and take-out are manual, controls are basic pneumatic/electric, and wear parts are standard and easy to buy. Most operators are productive within a day of training.
